CV Ilaria Bucciarelli:
Ilaria Bucciarelli is a researcher at INDIRE – the National Institute for
Documentation, Innovation and Educational Research – where, since 2004, she
has focused on educational innovation, media education, and learning
technologies. Her academic background combines humanities studies with
expertise in videomaking and multimedia, leading to a distinctive specialization in
educational documentation and the use of visual language to make thinking and
learning visible. She has been involved in several high-profile research projects,
including Making Learning and Thinking Visible in collaboration with Project Zero
at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Avanguardie Educative, a
national initiative aimed at disseminating innovative teaching models across
Italian schools.
Currently pursuing a PhD in Learning Sciences and Digital Technologies at the
University of Florence, she is actively engaged in the European project ICME
(Inclusive and Creative Media Education), which focuses on developing inclusive
and transnational media literacy pathways. Over the course of her career, she has
held several national and international roles, including serving as the Italian
representative in EDRENE – the Educational Repositories Network – and in the
Learning Resource Exchange Subcommittee of European Schoolnet. She was also
a member of the scientific committee appointed by the Italian Ministry of Culture
for the national training programme of “Visual Education in Schools.”
